臺大膜蛋白特聘研究講座駐校講學活動特別演講

Prof. Chikashi TOYOSHIMA 東京大學 豐島 近 教授為日本國家科學院院士及美國外籍院士，並擔任美國加州大學柏克萊分校希區考克講座。豐島教授精通數學與物理，是位非常傑出的生物物理學家。他的科學生涯由研究肌肉纖維與內含離子通道之膜受體的電子顯微鏡學研究開始切入，再使用X-ray蛋白結晶學的技術，解出了多個cation pumps 在各種 transition states下的結構，並利用分子模擬技術詮釋其作用機轉。

2008年台大校慶「大師系列講座」後，與五位諾貝爾得主/院士級大師慨然接受校長邀約擔任本校特聘研究講座教授及膜蛋白結構生物學核心實驗室研究群諮詢委員，允諾長期來校進行短期教學及雙邊互訪研究合作。本核心實驗室先前已承辦過兩屆膜蛋白暨生物膜結構生物學研討會及 Prof. DEISENHOFER 駐校講學與訪台活動;而豐島教授亦於2012年中研院第一屆NRPB國際膜蛋白研討會與研習會時，一併參訪台大一週。此次有幸再度來台進行為期近兩週 (3/19-3/29，主要行程見下表) 的駐校活動，期待具體提升本校相關領域研究水準以及國際競爭力。期間於生命科學館舉辦之mini-symposium中及於醫學院二號館舉辦之思考台灣膜蛋白研究與發展方向之workshop中各有精彩演講及討論，並企圖為提昇年輕學者們正在投稿發表的論文品質進行加持，歡迎參加或蒞臨指導。除上述行程，來台期間亦歡迎有志從事膜蛋白研究之同仁同學與大師預約個人時段進行一對一討論。。
