Applicants must have clinical experience or have finished residency training. Professional experience in veterinary diagnostic imaging, cardiology, emergency and critical care, dentistry, or behavioral medicine is preferred. The position includes responsibilities for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Faculty rank and salary are commensurate with the candidate’s professional qualifications. National Taiwan UniversityDepartment of Foreign Languages and LiteraturesJob Announcement The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures of National Taiwan University announces one (1) non-tenure track instructor/lecturer position in English. Initial appointment will be made on a one-year basis starting from August 1, 2012. Renewal of contract will be based on availability of funds and upon recommendation by the review committee. Minimum Qualifications: native ornative-level speaker with at least an MA in English, or other related fields plus two years of university teaching experience. Experience teaching non-native speakers preferred.

Teaching Load: at least 16 hours of basic language courses (Freshman English, Writing, Conversation, Lab and etc.) per week.

Salary and Rank: starting monthly salary for MA degree holders is around NT$56,580 (approximately US$1855.00; subject to 18% income tax for the first 6 paychecks if you hold a foreign passport and are new to Taiwan).

Benefits: all employees and their dependents (including spouses and children under 18) will be covered by the R.O.C.’s National Healthcare plan. The University provides affordable housing on a space-available basis.
