The Institute of Applied Mechanics, College of Engineering, National Taiwan University, invites applications for full-time faculty positions. Candidates at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor will be considered. Successful candidate should demonstrate solid training and innovative research in the broad area of applied mechanics. Those with research fields in connection with novel applications of mechanics in energy technology, smart machinery, or biomedical technology are especially welcomed. Proven experience in working with interdisciplinary research team is desirable. Passion in graduate teaching is essential. Candidates must have an earned doctoral degree (or equivalent) in engineering, physics, or related discipline.

The Department of Geography at National Taiwan University (NTU) seeks to fill a tenure-track or tenured position at all ranks beginning in August 2018. We recruit scholars with the PhD degree in Geography or Spatial Informatics whose research complements strengths in the Department in environmental monitoring, urban and regional development or spatial sciences. Applicants whose research interests in geospatial big data analytics, geo-computation, urban sensing and computing and/or other related fields are preferred. We also encourage applicants who are specialized in these aforementioned subjects with a strong background in computer engineering or statistics. We expect the candidate to contribute to the department tradition of collaborative integration across physical and social sciences, and facilitate to growth of an interdisciplinary and cross-department research network at NTU. The Graduate Program in Translation and Interpretation (GPTI) at National Taiwan University (NTU) announces two full-time faculty positions.

I. General requirements: Except as otherwise specified, minimum requirements include a Ph.D. and a strong publication record in a relevant field. All full-time faculty members are required to teach courses in both the graduate and undergraduate Translation and Interpretation programs and are obliged to direct theses, mentor students, and serve on various university and program committees.

A. Tenure-track Faculty Position

Three (3) Faculty Openings for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor

B. Salary In accordance with Ministry of Education’s regulation

C. Starting from August 1, 2017 or February 1, 2018

D. Qualifications

1. NCKU IIMBA is recruiting prominent researchers to join us. The qualification of applicants must be recognized as excellent researcher and then followed by the standard procedure.

2. An earned doctorate degree in Business/Management or related fields

3. A strong commitment to teaching courses in English

E. Academic Specialty

The most desirable candidate will be the one with research interests and teaching capability in:

1. Management Information System

2. Supply Chain Management

3. Financial Management

4. Marketing Management

5. Strategic Management

F. Documents required

1. A letter of application with full curriculum vitae (includes working experiences, research expertise, teaching interests, publication record, etc..)

2. A photocopy of Ph.D. diploma. An international/foreign Ph.D. degree and transcripts must be verified by the R.O.C. embassies, consulates, or missions abroad or by other notary institutes authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, R.O.C.

3. Graduate transcript(s).

4. Three (3) current and original letters of reference

5. A photocopy of the front cover and abstract of dissertation

6. Publication list. Please also attach the copies (no more than five (5) papers) of the most representative publication(s) within the 5 years.

納米及先進材料研發院有限公司應徵Technical Manager / Project Leader

納米及先進材料研發院有限公司（簡稱NAMI），於2006年成立，並由香港創新科技署指定為納米技術和先進材料的研發中心。NAMI進行及支持市場主導的納米技術和先進材料研發工作，並致力達成技術商品化，從而推動香港作為知識型經濟的發展。

Technical Manager / Project Leader – Bio and Healthcare (Ref. 15001)

Duties

•Manage clients' accounts and build strategic partnership. Expand collaboration network with bio and healthcare industry;

•Responsible for project incubations, project proposals, project milestones and reports/presentations;

•Supervise a team of technical staff;

•Responsible for ad hoc tasks assigned by Director of R&D; and

•Any other duties as required.

●Requirements●

•MSc/MPhil or PhD in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or Chemistry is preferred;

•R&D, project management and supervisory experience in pharmaceuticals, medical device or healthcare industry. (5+ years for PhD, 10+ years for MSc/MPhil; more experience will be considered as Senior Technical Manager);

•Solid practical experience in medical devices, diagnostics/biosensors, microfluidics, lab-on-chips, pharmaceuticals;

•Familiar with biomaterials (polymers, ceramics and/or metals), properties, characterization and/or process development;

•Some experience in regulatory such as GMP, FDA guideline;

•Positive, analytical, critical thinking and good troubleshooting skill;

•Ability to initiate and work independently, yet able to lead a team of research staff;

•Have a sense of ownership for his/her work; and

•Good interpersonal and communication skills.

●Salary and Benefits●

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave will be provided. Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
