陳基旺教授獲選 AAAS Fellow

AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Sciences) 於九月底完成公元2002年Fellow 評選工作，本校醫學院藥學系主任暨研究所所長陳基旺教授獲得該項殊榮。陳教授以對「Design of Prodrug Activation Via Glucuronidase Conjugated Monoclonal Antibody for the Treatment of Cancer and for the Discovery of Potent and Selective 1a-Adrenoceptor Antagonists」之貢獻獲得肯定，並將於2002年2月14-19日在波斯頓召開的年會中頒發證書。AAAS Fellow每年評選一次，今年就24個學門，經過嚴謹程序，從全世界近30萬名會員中選出288位，在美國能獲得AAAS Fellow多寡為評估一所學校學術地位重要指標之一。藥學領域今年選出五名，陳教授是該領域近幾年來唯一的外國人，也是台灣藥學界第一個獲得此項榮譽。
