社會系週四演講10月3日下午兩點於社會系館401會議室邀請Dr. Wendy Luttrell (Associate Professor, Harvard Graduate School of Education)主講：Pregnant Bodies, Fertile Minds: Gender, Race, and the Schooling of Pregnant Teens。演講摘要：青少年未婚懷孕是日趨嚴重的社會問題。Prof. Luttrell不帶預設立場地深入瞭解一群在公立學校接受輔導的待產女孩。由她們如何看待他人眼光所主導的公眾論述、以及處理自己的身體、情緒與社會經驗的改變中，有別於一般刻板印象的發現，或足以啟發教育者、決策者。~)

講者簡介：哈佛大學教育學院副教授；開授「質性研究」、「種族、性別與社會階層」等課程nDuke大學文化人類學系、社會學系助理教授、副教授及教學研究中心副主任（1989~~1999）Sociology of Education及Race, Gender, and Class期刊編輯，著有書籍School-smart and Mother-wise: Working-Class Women's Identity and Schooling (Perspectives on Gender) (1997, Routledge)及Pregnant Bodies, Fertile Minds: Gender, Race, and the Schooling of Pregnant Teens (2002, Routledge)，另有諸多期刊論文、評論及教案規劃、教師手冊。
